Start the day Its washed away Before all this A time when the world was new Before the sun turned grey Was an instant so true The moment I knew That she’d be real That she’d be mine The prophets never knew No one could have predicted A story so true The moment I knew No one else heard her song No one else got her name Bells didn’t ring for long The day my whole world had changed No one wrote a book Or took a look I asked why but they’d No clue Lost to the ages, all the Sages Asked who? The moment I knew Lost in the sun There’s no one Before all this A time when my cares Were few Before the fates came ‘round Doing what all fates do The moment I knew Where Atlantis was What she was like Historians never knew Now over them both Is an ocean of blue The moment I knew No one else saw her face No one else marked the time A vision in white and lace A miracle who was mine No one wrote a book Or took a look I asked why but they’d No clue Lost to the ages, all the Pages For you The moment I knew (Lyrics: Colin Furst)

An Ode to Ed 02:14

“What wonder That the saints do not always Show themselves inspired.” Yes we all watched Peter fall. Fruitful Doubts among believers, Doubts that will protect us – Search for your truth, let love be. Let our love be. Let your mistakes shine like the stars. God loves the stars. “This tyrant of the mind triumphed over all my wisdom.” How vain it is to flee from love. Hide love And silence will speak it. Build a wall of reason Love paints a door and walks right through. Let our love be. Let your mistakes shine like the stars. God loves the stars And what is unseen. Sins can please God. My sin can’t be seen. Your eyes are my stars. God loves the stars And what is unseen. Sins can please God. My sin can’t be seen. “Mix my Grief with yours” darling Mix me a potion So that we both will forget. Pry me From my God and help me Find a ray of hope in Love that is constant and dead. Let our love be. Let your mistakes shine like the stars. God loves the stars And what is unseen. Sins can please God. My sin can’t be seen. Your eyes are my stars. God loves the stars And what is unseen. Sins can please God. My sin can’t be seen. Your breath is my star. God loves the stars And what is unseen. Sins can please God. My sin can’t be seen. Your love is my star. God loves the stars And what is unseen. Sins can please God. My sin can’t be seen. My lust is my star. My lust can’t be seen… (Lyrics: Lawrence Lanahan)

about

This is an instrumental album of songs, half-songs and wannabes. Lo-fi practice songs that were never recorded properly, and possibly never will be. I sent friends and family members a selected track, and asked that they give me its title. Everyone came up with a perfect title for that song. Colin Furst took it one step further by writing lyrics to the song he was given. Lawrence Lanahan wrote lyrics to the song Gerrit Wessendorf titled. I love the spirit of communal creativity and thank all who played with me.
